Can you give us a bit more background...??? What brought you to this site...??? Are you entirely new to home distillation or do you have some previous experience...??? What types of spirits are you looking to make...??? Do you have a still or planning on building or buying...??? What type(s) of spirits are you looking to make...??? Stuff like that...

well ive been around corn whiskey most my life but never paid no mind to makin it, guess i should of paid attention instead of gettin the last sip. hahaha. i have a pot still 3 gallon with thumper and im goin try my first run next week just suger and corn meal. any thoughts would be helpful i was wanten to know how much water to put in the thumper its 10" high 8 1/2wide if this doesnt help ill fill with water to find out how many gallons it holds. thanks....

Lots a Gents just fill the thumper enough to cover the inlet. I charge mine just a bit more.
Trample the injured and hurdle the dead.

The thumper on my Frankenstill is about the same size, I usually put one litre, just enough to cover the inlet bar.

much thanks im wanting the best 1st time results i can get and have read soooo much now i guess i gotta find out what a liter is . haha thanks
