Hi guys,
Just posted in "first build".
http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopi ... 32&t=15942
Been lurking for a bit, decided to make a build, told wife am making a "Gasohol Still" to make our own gas.
And, am certainly not opposed to that idea, I see there is a fine line from natured and de-natured alcohol.
But, am a craftsman and actually doing this project for the enjoyment of it and possible end results, both
financial and libatious , etc......
This forum is certainly a great inspiration and learning tool.

New fella .....
It is not the matter, nor, the space between the matter,
but rather, it is that finite point at which the two meet,
that, and only that, is what is significant...........
(Of course, I could be wrong) ..........

Welcome, Oxbo Rene...
Don't be disillusioned into thinking that distillation for fuel production might be a financial benefit because it's not a matter of "go big or go home" but, rather, "go huge or go home"... The cost of production can rapidly offset any potential savings unless you have access to low priced or free ingredients and heat source... That plus the fact that even fuel production requires permits to be legal...
Good luck...

Welcome aboard.
With fuel alcohol it's go huge, get subsidized, and then probably still go home.

Re: New fella .....
Hi Oxbo Rene, your new still will produce enough good fuel as a by-product (fores and early heads) to satisfy a lawnmower. The rest must be brewed and stilled for another more exacting purpose. Cheers!

Yes, I have to show to my wife that my intentions are first, foremost and only, to produce "GAS" !
And, the lawnmower is first on the list to experiment with, just hope she doesn't
catch me drinking the lawnmower gas, then she'll be going ballistic.
Right now she dwells in the dark as to the side benefit of making one's own gasohol .
I've mentioned to her that this project is only a small "test" unit to see if it is viable to
make one's own gas, etc....(she has no clue that one can drink the stuff).....
