To The HMFIC's

Post by ArkyJ »

Lots of nubee's showing up on these boards and some inbetweeners and oldies but goldies that either want a still or replace an old one, but who's skill are like mine (they suck) in making a still. Several people are willing or make some beautiful art work to build these stills for others.
Yet I hesitate to mention them by site name for fear that I'll be jumped on and told to mind my own business.
And yes I know we have claified section, but those go the way of the dinosares as time goes by.
Can we not set up another permentant block for those trusted makers to advertize their wares along with an "aprox" price only to be set in stone upon agreement of purchase?

Such as: I am Blaa blaa and I make fm's, rm's, vm" am's, pot stills, Boka's and a Flute.
My prices are as follows.............
PM me for further info.

That way I can sent the nubee to that section with a clear mind that those makers are willing to build stills for others.

I know this site is floundering in sensory overload at this time, but perhaps for the future.

For those of us who are TLA, FLA, and QLA challenged, WTF are HMFIC's...???

So, if I'm getting this right, you are suggesting having a forum for recommended vendors and builders...??? And would this be somewhere that people could openly post or only be listed in an otherwise locked topic by a Moderator or Admin...???

The Classified Ad's forum works fins, as is, and can be bumped before the 60 day expiration ages a stagnant topic off...

Would have been easier to say "Powers That Be"... Heck, even Samohon and I could figure that out... :P

Oh no... That would be TPTB (The Powers That Be)...

HCSIC would be more appropriate.

Let us leave it that if you don't know, you will sleep better tonight and think more kindly of me. Other wise it's just the person or persons whom run the boards. An old Air Force saying from the old days.
I know Old Dog builds flutes for others. I don't know if he wants to be bothered building other stills and flutes for anyone in OZ land.
I know KS also builds flutes. I don't know if he builds anything else except parrots and or wants to be bothered.
Thus, my hesitation on sugesting those and perhaps others to be contacted.
And perhaps it's best to allow the newbees to stumble threw a thousand post looking for: Yeah, a couple of guys here build stills. Go find them.

I've rolled a few coils and built a couple of Bok's and VM's for people as water purifiers, (well it does purify...kinda)...

I like to fly beneath the radar, we all know what these designs are capable of, and so do TPTB (thanks Rad)... The UK is small compared to Oz or the US... But selling them for water purification/distillation is a step in the right marketing direction...

If I were to advertise, I'd probably start small, in the classifieds of HD, bumping the thread if it was popular...

Just my 2 cents guys... :D

I can Build any type of still required, Potstill, Boks, VM, or Flutes, parrots etc, prices vary depending on the build.

I've given up trying to figure those abbreviasions out. I just read through the thread and do the best I can. I guess if I had a fancy cell phone and did a lot of texting it might be handy!
