alcopop

Post by praefect »

Hey guys,

With summer coming and my tendency to mix my drinks on the heavy side, I thought I would try and get a recipe for some kind of alcopop (smirnoff ice, hard limonade, bacardi breezer, whatever) and if I have a good recipe, I will pre-bottled 100 beer bottles and distribute freely around the pool this summer, what do you think?

Do any of you have any recipes for that, I will start to experiment but I'd like to start somewhere so I'm just asking if you guys have any idea.

Thanks a lot and enjoy summer! (up in Canada here, was snowing just yesterday...)

take it easy

I could probably come up with 100 reasons why this isn't a good idea, but...

Why not simply supply various chasers and let people mix their own...??? Granted, pre-mixed drinks allow you to regulate the booze to mixer ratio... But, aside from that, most parties I've been to don't allow glass anywhere near the pool area... It's either a plastic cup or an aluminum can... No glass... Barefoot drunks and glass just don't mix... Trust me, I've dug deeper into someones heel with a pair of forceps after a piece of broken beer bottle than you could even imagine they should be able to go, and then pulled out a bigger shard of glass than you could imagine being in there... My toes were curling the entire time, but you should have seen the look on the guys face I was working on... Ah, the memories... :econfused:

Food for thought...

ouch!

ok, I'll take good note of your comment.. let's say I use only PET bottles (oh dear! here comes the PET debate!).

Seriously, I understand your point about the glass and I cringe, but like I said, the goal is to regulate, try to emulate beer drinking if you will...

I'll probably end up pre-mixing ethanol with a good low-card drink that I'll like..

thanks anyway, and ENJOY SUMMER!

You got the alc. Just add pop as needed. Alcopop is overtaxed, overrated, and pissweak.

Buyin straight shots on ice seems better.
