New Guy looking for some help!!!

Post by Vitruvian_Man82 »

Im new to this I have done some reading but it seems everybody has their own preference and I want to get into this, but need someone willing to take the time to give me a plan to use to build a still and some links for the best information, consider me a guinea pig. I have no idea which one to build or any of that, I want to make one, that someone recommends and then perfect it and then decide if I want to try a different type. Id appreciate any kind of help, thank you everyone!

just like your other post i will say no one is going to hand feed you the information. you will receive plenty of help if you help us to help you. perhaps you can start by letting us know what type of product you would like to make, any experience level you have, and anything else about this hobby that intrigues you that will allow us to at least point you in the right direction.

always remember this is not a hobby to just jump into blindly, much research is to be done before you build anything for your safety and for the safety of others.

+1 just-a-sip... good advice... what is most important is what you like to drink... that will dictate what still you need. When u figure that out, take a look at these... http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopi ... =1&t=18873

It's beyond the scope of these forums to bring you up to speed on extracting a zip file but it is covered quite extensively across the internet... If you can't figure that out then I'm not holding out much hope that you'll grasp this hobby because it will be throwing challenges at you every day and you'll need to learn new tasks daily...

+3 to what everyone has said, but check out this thread and read through it to get a good understanding of some of the designs, look closely at how they are put together, then go back to the New a distillers reading lounge and read how they are run and the kind of product you will get from each.

The come back here and ask a few questions.

Welcome, you really need to go to the parent site and read EVERYTHING. Its all there man, and this site has helped me from doing suger washes overseas to now starting my first all grain. But you really have to study...and then study even more. There is a lot to this hobby, be safe, good luck, and happy stillin. BTW, there are some other great sites that you can read over too. Get all the info you can first. Trust me it will pay off.
