UJSM cloudy?

Post by Johnben »

Sorry for the newbie question, but i am doing a 10gal run of UJSM and the first 7 quart jars were perfect, at the 8+ they get noticeably cloudy this is the first time i have seen this, is it a problem? the jars i am using are new and i don't think i am running too hot.

Thanks in advance for the advice

That would be tails... If early on it would be puking...

If you were to assume your wash was 8%;
10 gal @ 8% = 3.2 Qts @ 100%
= 6.4 Qts @ 50%

You've taken 7 Quarts and clouded at #8.

Which jars are 90 proof? Your jars should be higher to start (say 120 - 130) and getting progressively lower. With UJ usually my tails don't start to really show through until about 80 proof or lower.
