Hello Bokakob! I am currently building a modified 4" version of your elip that will incorporate VM. I am building a circular liebig similar to the picture you posted. I like the compact space saving feature of such a design. I made a smaller circular liebig for a 2" column.

PM me regarding web related concerns... That's my day (and parts of my nights) job and I might be interested in contributing whatever I can...

the cooling water goes into the column first, then out and down to condense the alcohol vapors, acting also as the worm water? will it be cool enough without a huge flow?

Very interesting to see this can you post some pics? I did a 4 in with a liebing and cooling lines and have always wondered about this design.

Also Bokabob do you have any plans that list specific sizes to put one of these together?

A 2 in could be doable.

I'll post some pics once it's completed. I currently just finished forming the 1/2" reflux coil for it and now need to solder it up. The next thing is to form the circular liebig for it.

the water going into the coiled liebig is going the wrong way (you will get air bubbles locked in, running the water from the bottom to the top will push them out) but all looks good part from that

How are you going to form the circular liebig condenser?

look at this previous topic:

I explain how I did it in detail and also showed some pics. It is a 3/4"/1/2" circular liebig. For the 4" column I plan a 1"/3/4" liebig.
