There are many types of beverage spirits. Some of the more common ones include whiskies, brandy, gin, vodka, rum, and tequila. Licit spirits are produced at distilleries, illicit spirits are produced by moonshiners.
There are a number of different types of whiskies, including scotch, Irish whiskey, bourbon, Tennessee whiskey, Canadian whisky, rye and of course corn whiskey which is sometimes sold unaged as moonshine.
Another broad classification of distilled spirits is that of cordials.
