I got some toasted oak from punkin

Post by blanikdog »

A few months back I got some toasted oak from punkin and I tossed some into some white dwwg that was sitting around. Last night I tried it and drank about half a bottle. It was bonza stuff. Felt a little seedy today.

Sounds like it tasted so good you decided to throw moderation out the window, blanik...

That's not moderation? It could have been the whole bottle and it could have been way worse than a little seedy. Been there done that.. once or twice. A little snake bite once in a while... reminds one to practice moderation. Now doesn't it?

That "Pete" fella has been sneaking around my place a fair bit lately too! It must be the impending Summer.
It is most absurdly said, in popular language, of any man, that he is disguised in liquor; for, on the contrary, most men are disguised by sobriety. ~Thomas de Quincy, Confessions of an English Opium-Eater, 1856

Summer here now Pint and the snakes are beginning to appear. We saw two just this week. Could be a few seedy days on the horizon. :)

Funny thing is that while I felt a little seedy I had no headache at all. Gotta love this hobby!!!

The wife tells me I was dancing around the living room with a broom - CD player on LOUD - when I wasn't insisting that she dances with me. Seems I had a wonderful night. Must have been punkin's oak.

Used to do a lot of that when it was just me and the Bourbon Girl for friday night drinks. I got a good 6 channel Yamaha with Aaron floorstanders and Aaron and Bose surround. Rocks the whole neighbourhood once the sub and the floor standers warm up.

But it'd be me on the lounge with my eyes half shut while BG danced for hours.
