New to Distilling

Post by Shibity »

Hey everyone,
I was thinking the other day and decided i wanted to start brewing my own alcohol. I thought it'd be alot of fun since i have so much spare time latley. Unforchanitly i know very little. I have bakers yeast, sugar and of course water.

I was wondering if anyone could walk me through step by step what to do. I look forward to this. Thank you everyone!
Also, i haven't learned the Distilling lingo yet :) so go easy on me!

Perhaps a mod can merger this topic into the *** Welcome *** forum...

Welcome, Shibity...

As tater mentioned, we have plenty of good information here... We have also just recently started a mentoring program which you can take advantage of to help you along with your journey into the craft of home distillation...

It sounds like you've done enough reading to know that sugar, water, and yeast are the basic ingredients for a "sugar wash"... That mix also needs some nutrients to feed the yeast while they perform the task of converting sugar into alcohol and carbon dioxide... Just another piece of the puzzle...

Good luck... Let us know if we can be of help...
