ABV/hydrometer setups at the end

Post by Cornbread »

What is the name of those ABV/hydrometer setups at the end of that head before the bottle? I was wondering if anyone knew where to get one that is not to expensive. Or maybe someone would make me one? Thanks......just thought if I had a name I could "google" it.

Cornbread, the instrument you are referring to is called an alcoholmeter (alcometer) and is used to measure high %ABV of spirits as opposed to a wash hydrometer which measures specific gravity and can be used to estimate low %ABV... Best used with a parrot as noted by plonker...
