I'm Mischa from some little european country. I'm in the middle of building my first still. Reason why i'm building it is because of my winemaking efforts, which i also just started, i figured, my first wine will probably not be anywhere near tasty, so i needed a plan B .
This is what i got so far:
The Column, 2" copper:
The Column, 2" copper

The Boiler, don't know how much it contains:
(regular size whiskey bottle for size)

Any tips are offcourse very welcome, unless it's something expensive, then i'd rather not know about it
Looks like you are headed in the right direction.
The column is an older design, a little bit of a learning curve to make it run.
It is the very things that we think we know, that keep us from learning what we should know.
Valved Reflux, 3"x54" Bok 'mini', 2 liebig based pots and the 'Blockhead' 60K btu propane heat
Definitely not the best design you got there. It is called cooling management (CM), and while they can do an okay job, there are much better ones around. Check out liquid management (LM) and vapour management (VM).
That one you have will make a good pot still. Just cap or remove the two cooling lines running through the column.

Don't worry...i'll try it out before running it, no problem there! and if it's crap, i've got myself aprox. 8.5 gallons to try and make it tasty...

So, if i understand you correctly, plug those holes and i'm pretty much good to go? I was planning on making a pot still and thought of myself to be quit the genius with those extra pipes goin' through it
About the column, i thought i'd fill her up with scrubbers after i get the hang of the basic distilling skills.
