Going off line

Post by HookLine »

My computer is playing up big time. It is still under warranty, but I may be off line for a few days.

I will try to log in from other people's comps when I can to check PMs and any mod stuff, etc. But can't guarantee anything.

Bye for now.

I lost a couple desktops lately, too. Hmmm. A paranoid individual might think these things are happening for a reason. Maybe THEY were trying to take out Hook all along and hit us first... Naaaa, that kind of thing NEVER happens. Did I just hear a black helicopter?

All six of my machines were built from used parts, even my laptop and my server... Not one of them was new when I got it... But I have a never ending supply of parts as I get machines that customers don't want repaired faster than I get rid of them... I pass it forward by never charging for used parts, only labor...

It's okay, I have my super spy strength tin foil hat on at all times. I always wear it now, after the aliens visited one night and told me about the secret black noiseless helicopters, and how to protect myself against the governmet's mind control ray guns.

I started out with Pong about the mid- 70's in a bar in Kansas City, introduced to Astroid Game years later, about '81, I still have a copy on my PC that I downloaded.

It seems a bit ironic that so many of the moderators and really experienced distillers on the site who promote the use of traditional equipment and materials and are involved in a very ancient and venerable pass-time, are at the same time very high tech savy and understand all this "puter" and "IT" whachamacallits stuff??????? :?: :?: :?: :?:

They told me to say that they don't have noiseless copters or mind control rays...

Yes, that's right. I remember now.
