Indiana adding Vodka to de-ice roads?

I saw a film on national news this morning where the state of Indiana is adding Vodka to road salt to de-ice the roads. Was that Dnderhead behind the truck with a big flat shovel?

I actually poured some foreshots into the windshield washer once to keep it from freezing.
Never thought what it would smell like when I went to wash off the road salt.
If a cop would have stopped me I'd had some 'splaning to do.

Back nigh on 45 year ago........we use to put likker in the windshield washer container & disconnect the hose going from there to the wiper & feed thru back of Glove box....Hold our cokes under the tube and one shot (push of button) was perfect.

Pa always taught us that if you are driving and drinking..and you start getting double vision(see two roads), then you need to drink some more until you see 3 roads & then take the middle one.
