Like George Jones sings "Still Doin' Time!"
Today is the aniversary of my life sentence.
I'm thirty years into it with no chance of parole.
Any of you guys in the cells next to me?

I was 24 when I received this sentence.
The warden will wake up soon and I'll have to fix her breakfast.

I've been in the cell block four times, but have been paroled three times. The first sentence was when I was twenty two and it lasted for about a week before the cracks began to appear. Ten or so years later I tried again and this time the sentence was only for three years. Getting better, but being a slow learner I tried again and this time it was for around four years. This was becoming bloody expensive!!!!
At around thirty nine I had another try and this time I got life. Now, at seventy it doesn't look like I'll be paroled. I sorta like this cell finally.

17 years into my first sentence...I think I'll wait about 10 more till the younger accomplises are free then I'll go over the wall too.
Then it'll be back to dragracing full time, stillin' where and when I want, mudbogging with the old truck through the woods and owning a hunk a property at least 30 acres..if not 200.
Unless the warden changes her ways when the accomplises are gone that is..can't wait forever for "someday" though.

Numerous 57L kegs, some propane, one 220v electric with stilldragon controller. Keggle for all-Grain, two pot still tops for whisky, a 3" reflux with deflag for vodka. Coming up, a 4" perf plate column. Life is short, make whisky and drag race!

I got pardoned 5 years into my life sentence and have no plans on ever getting into that kind of trouble again... My current cohort in crime has been with me for 19+ years, no strings attached...

Didn't hit me until a few posts down what you guys were talking about. LOL I had a good chuckle. I just past the 13th year of my sentence beginning of October...but I like this facility and the warden isn't bad at all.

My cell block has some very good plumbing.
If I weren't so addicted to the plumbing I'd be over the wall.
My dwelling would be a shed/shop.
Ah well,, a feller can dream.

I am jealous of all of you guys. After much trial and error I finally had someone special in my life. She died 5 weeks and 3 days ago. I tried to be more active here but my emotional side just kept getting in the way. It seems that some of my posts lately were angry but I never wanted that. Mostly I just needed to occupy my mind and kill some time.

Fester, I feel for ya. I'm to the point I wouldn't know what to do or where to turn with my better half. We have a lot of good times together and a few bad. But till, it is she who holds me up.
I'll mention your name the next time I talk to the big one above who listens to all my rants.

Sorry to hear that Fester, sometimes you don't know what you got till it's gone.

Re: Like George Jones sings "Still Doin' Time!"
As rad said my partner in crime left me a little more than 9 years ago. We had been together for 38 years.
Fester, I understand how you feel. I know she is in a better place now (many health problems), but I miss her as much now as I did the day she left this earth. There never will be another one.
