A virgin from Texas!

Post by aisxray »

Well, as a Virgin, I have no experience (what virgin does?)

So, I will be reading posts and getting a first rate education by being here.

Do I have questions? Lots. But I'm so stupid right now that I can't even figure out what to ask!

How about this question. What is the best kind of still or brand to purchase to start distilling something in the whiskey range?

Anyway, glad to be here and look forward to someday being able to contribute to this forum!

Welcome aisxray,

That would likely be a potstill.

You can make your own for less than you would likely spend. Or perhaps a trusted member could put together a rig for you.

The best storebought rigs are usually the most expensive.

Do you have any mechenical ability at all?
How much work space do you have to still in?

If yew'd a read just a bit more, you would have already known the potstill does brandies/wisky/rum.
