What has your spouse brought home for stilling?

Little or nothing to do with distillation.

What has your spouse brought home for stilling?

Post by rubber duck »

So get this, my wife leaves to go to the grocery store today. She comes back with grocery's and a oxy acetylene set up, and the tanks are full          . She was driving to the store, sees a yard sale and stops by. She sees the tanks and thinks, I'll bet my husband could use those. She bought the set up for 25 bucks loaded it into the trunk of her car and brought them home.

I don't understand, this is not at all normal. I mean she's great but this is :? :? :? . Should I worry? Does this ever happen to any one else? What's she going to expect for this? I think I'm going to have to get her another dog to ever even things up.

I can barely even use this thing. I'll have to figure out what I'm doing right and maybe next time she will bring home a English wheel :D :D :D .

So what random stuff has your wife/ husband brought home unexpectedly for your distilling or other hobbies?

Hmm, just imagening Mrs. Rednose coming back from town saying: "Hi honey how was your day today? As I know that one of your hobbies is sex I brought you this girl, isn't she sweet? While you both have some fun I'm going to prepare the dinner, see you soon."

My Missus told me that if I died she'd buy an old smelly dog
I asked why
And she said that it would lay on the couch, fart and stink..... just to remember me by

Mrs Husker does stuff like this quite frequently. When it is the proper woman, and you treat her good, and let her do what she wants, when she wants, then little surprises like that do happen, and happen more frequently than you might think.

I had mine 'volunteer' (yes, her idea) to stand in line from 5pm (when she got off work), until 2 am when I got done bowling and drinking, for deer permits one year. The permits were for a VERY hard to get hunt. I (she) was in 3rd spot in line, and by the time I got there, there was about 30 in line.

She also has the habit of seeing great deals (like power tools, etc) at garage sales, like your did, and bring them home. I NEVER complain when something like that happens. ALWAYS complement. You always want to praise behavior you want to see repeated ;)

Her: Honey. Im going to the store. Do you need anything special?

Me: Just the usual Babe...

Her: 10 pounds of cheap sugar..got it. You have enough yeast?

Me: Yep.

Her: Lemon juice? Epsom Salts? Copper Scrubbies? Some odd cereal? Coka-Cola?

Me: Nope Im all set. Thanks for asking though.

Somebody seems to like my whiskey...;)
She will get me things to play with, but she wont buy me tools unless she is sure. Im rather particular about my tools. I must say, however, that she has great taste in table saws. Still, a woman who buys an oxy-acetelene setup for you? Damn. She's a keeper.

She once came home from school (she's a teacher) with 3 empty 5Gal glass water carboys and 2 large copper vases in the car.
"Give me a hand down to the charity shop with these", she asked,"they have cluttered the staff room for 6 months.".
"You go and have a seat", I said, "I'll attend to these".
"You were'nt long", she surmised 5 mins later,"what road did you take?".
"The road to the our garage. charity begins at home...!!!", I told her...

I mean, come on guy's, 6 months!!!   Please, a little more observation to the hobby would be nice... :econfused:
Bless her, she is now giving me a had to ferment and distill... :) :) :) :)

"Glad WE kept these bottles", she said. "Yeah, great idea you had..!", I told her.

(Now she has a list of things to keep...) :D :D :D :D :D

Man,,,, You guy's are the luckiest chappy's on the planet. Yall got some good wemen.

I screw'd up big time. I mixed my missus up a real proofy panty dropper way back when. And she got a little freaked out on account her leggs seemed to not work very well shortly there after. She ain't much of a drinker so that kinda put me in the dog house ever since.

How ever last week she did have 2 lil dranks, maybe she is commin round?

She starts buying me supplies and such, I will be that happiest man on erf.

Mine doesn't even drink, not a drop. I think she encourages me because as long as I'm in the shop or distilling I'm not messing up the kitchen.

This should keep me busy and out of the house for a long time.

Yeah SB,
I thought I was being slick and gonna get to move closer for a visit.

She got too freaked out. Too drunk too quick I would imagine.

My own fault for having such dishonerable motives.
