If I had a choice of buying something on line from my home state of Calif. or Arizona, I would gladly pay extra and get it from Arizona.

You know...if people spent a little less time worrying about offending someone and a little more time looking at the law...the answer is already there.
The immigration laws clearly state that if you are in the country without valid authorization, you have to leave.

"Bye! Have a nice day! Come back when you decide to play by the very well established rules..."

Its not rocket science.

EDIT: if this is too political, please feel free to delete.

Regardless of what someone thinks about the immigration issue the federal law is pretty clear. I would think it would be more productive for the pro immigration folks to focus on changing the law/ process, rather then boycotting Arizona for enforcing the law. I mean you don't see anyone boycotting California for banning gay marriage.

I don't see it as a political thing so much as a bunch of folks that don't want to go through the steps and hardships to be a citizen of this great country. The process is a unwieldy one but that's the fault of the feds not Arizona.

Rubber duck, I actually have a good deal of experience in dealing with this. The process is designed to test those who want to come in. Its actually fairly basic and active participation in the process pretty much gaurantees your not being asked to leave. You just need to give them the proper information at the proper time and do your interviews. Its the people who try to take the easy or lazy way out that make it hard on themselves. What was once a straightforward process, becomes a logistical nightmare because it all has to be on record. As for tales of someone "suddenly getting deported" its usually because their investigation came up with something they didnt mention or they have a criminal record in the home country.

Its the land of opportunity...if you dont want to follow the rules then you get the opportunity to get a busride back to your country :)

A major part of the problem stems from a now outdated law which states that any child born in the US is a US citizen, even if the parents are illegal aliens... That loophole is taken advantage of far too often... That law needs to be revised... Not political... Just fact...

Yes...I agree that the birth law is taken advantage of FAR too often...seems to me that a child born of parents without any form of legal immigration status either in place or in progress should be a national of the parents country or origin.
