Cork Gaskets

I'm having trouble finding what a can say for sure is pure cork. Especially in a form I can cut into various gaskets ( sheets ) Any suggestions of where to find this would be greatly appreciated. Everything I've seen so far has either small particles of rubber in it or has some sort of rubbery glue holding all the natural cork together. I live in Canada so stores that i would find up here would be very helpful.

I got mine from a musical instrument store, they use it for sax and clarinet mouthpieces.

Try using the rolled cork you buy for a cork board. I live in Cananda to , on the west coast. Try Staples. I have found that if you can find cork that has a smokey smell to it, it isu usually pure cork.

I recently found some cork placemats at a garage sale that were plain cork.

Just remember that any product made with cork "crumbs" is bonded together with some type of undisclosed adhesive material... Only consider cork laminate, peeled of a cork tree log as a solid sheet, or solid blocks or tiles, as safe gasket material...
