Vinegar Run

Post by crazyk78 »

Hey all,

I think next weekend is going to be my maiden run on my SS Rad impersonated 2" LM still.

My question is, I know that a vinegar water run should be done first...So I will.

But

How long do you need to run it for?
My Keg is 50L

I'm planning on using a run of 1:4 Vinegar Water mix

I'd suggest running the vinegar and water for about the same amount of time as you expect a regular wash to run, or at least half that amount of time... Remember, you should also do a sacrificial run using either cheap wine or a sugar wash before doing a keeper run...

Good luck with the new still... We want pictures... 8)
