Too big bucket?

Sugar, and all about sugar washes. Where the primary ingredient is sugar, and other things are just used as nutrients.

Too big bucket?

Post by gardar »

I'm wondering if a too big bucket will have any disadvantages on the fermentation?

I have a 35L pot and my bucket is 60L...

Should I maby make two washes and put them together into the bucket? Or will I be just fine with one wash in my huge bucket?

You can make one big wash and distill it 35 liters at a time OR Make a 35 Liter wash in your 60 liter bucket. :o

do one big wash and strip it all in a day. I do 50 gal washes. I can do 4 strips in a day. Get it all stripped, and do a spirit run at your lesure.

Sounds good!

I thought the extra space for air in the big bucket would make some difference, but I guess not :)

The extra headspace will be filled with CO2 which will displace any air in the fermenter...
