Electric Heating Element Wattage Calculations

Post by rad14701 »

Here is a copy of the spreadsheet I have created to calculate theoretical wattage outputs at specific voltages for a given element... One aspect that has not yet been implemented is the use of a 240V rated element with 120V mains voltage because I just thought of it while typing this...

Let me know if you find this spreadsheet useful and/or if you think of other possible improvements... In its present state it's simple and it works...

As with other spreadsheets here in these forums the file has been uploaded with a .pdf extension which needs to be changed back to .xls on your local machine prior to using...
controller performance calculations.pdf
Rename from .pdf to .xls before using.

cool man I like it .. I will be glad to try running on electric... I have a MK5500 controller on the way, but i still have to get a keg ready. I am going to have to take me a day for my work before long.
thanks Rad,
