Primative Chinese corn still

Post by Rod »

I watched an episode of the Luke Nguyen cooking and travel show last thursday on SBS , Australian TV

http://www.sbs.com.au/shows/lukenguyen/ ... /1/h/Home/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

A women uses a still made from a large wok with a wooden barrel over a wood fire

the still was sealed with fabric cloth wound into rope with a wooden pipe collecting the spirit at the top of the barrel
which is condensed from another wok with water inside and running outside

she collected 20 litres of corn spirit which she would sell at the local market

KISS

I suppose it is wood aged in the process

no cuts

if you want to look it is about halfway thru the video

Astonishing, it's only one of a thousand bloody cooking shows in Oz (we aren't very selective about the shit we have on tv)

Maybe the US is more selective and refuses to be drawn into such crap. :)

Host site cannot be reached from Europe either. SBS in Oz must be preventing viewers outside Oz. They probably want to sell the show outside Oz, or if they bought it, the only bought rights to show it in Oz.

The U.S. is where we GET most of that crap.

I'm sure lots of people there don't watch it, either.

On behalf of all like-minded Americans Everywhere to all the peoples of this planet......

We apologize for reality T.V. including, but not limited to American idol, Jearsy Shore, Survivor, Tele-evangicalism, MTV 1 and 2, everything on Brovo, and all of our 24 hour cable news stations.

ESPN makes up for some of it.....

Now that thats over with I'm going back to distilling and drinking.

I remember when that song came out. I was thinking "Wow! Just imagine what it would be like to have 57 channels! There would ALWAYS be something good on TV. Fast forward 25 years later, I have over 200 channels, and rarely is there ever anything worth watching on.

FWIW, blocked here in Nevada too.
