Just wondering why the site was down for a while there?

At least things are moving again.

What would it take to make HD more reliable? Seems like it's been pretty rocky over the past few weeks. I'm not kicking dirt on anyone, so don't take offense.

Can there be a software upgrade? A bigger pipe? I've donated in the past, and I will continue to donate a reasonable amount if we could get a better, more stable connection.

Or, perhaps, it's just global warming, solar winds, El Nino, La Nina, "Change, Yes we Can".

Ha, that's the golden ticket question! I suspect this place is sitting on a computer at someones house or office. That would explain its turtle slow response and its undependability. If that's not the case some body needs to switch hosting providers  either way get used to it it's nothing unusual......................

Well if you kiss Husker's ass you might get away with just a week with "The Village Idiot" status. Other than that your gonna have to send me the best bottle of your finest lovin likker.

I don't mind being "The Village Idiot" but I don't really want to kiss anyone's ass. I have, therefore, already authorized my offshore account (at a bank in Nigeria) to send a $1000 donation.

All they need is a certified cheque in the amount of $79.99 to facilitate this transfer!

Try some mylar or foil gift wrap if you have some to get by with until you get to the store... Or fashion a hat out of scrubbers...

Interesting reading here!!! :D :D :D

Just wondering whether I need to get a gas mask - or maybe an extractor fan has already been deployed? Not complaining. Shit happens. :?: :?: :?:

BUT..... I'm still wondering why the site was down. Anybody out there know?

Hey MK,

Sooner or later it all comes down to bodily functions. Shit always happens.

But..... what do you know that I don't (about why the site was down) :?:

Would more/larger/regular cash donations solve the problem?

I believe this is the case, at least I seem to remember threads where Uncle Jesse was discussing doing hardware/software upgrades himself.

But..... what do you know that I don't (about why the site was down)
I know nothing more than anyone else.... Just being a smart (jack) ass.... Im pretty sure that the site is hosted from UJ's computer, maybe there is something slower on that end. Not a biggy.

*Disclaimer* I am not a computer guy.
