Id like to say hello to everyone and greetings from the pikes peak region..Ive decided it is time to try my hand at distillin some likker.. Im new to the site but have been reading up for about two weeks.. ive decided to start construction on my pot still.. im basicly looking at a 22qt stock pot to start and running a basic worm setup for now.. i plan on building this so i can possibly add a liebig and a thumper in the future.. i still have a few questions about the design of this but im going to keep reading up and see if i can get a definitive answer reguarding the lyne arm size and the correct od to use on the worm...... i plan running sweet feed and turbo yeast to start out with .... im going tomorrow to pick up all the stuff to start on my first ferment... wish me luck....Z

Forget the turbo yeast, just get bakers yeast from your local supermarket, it's cheaper and will not induce off flavors.

Can't agree more with the OldDog.
Turbo sucks and bread yeast is as close as WalMart, SafeWay or whatever the local grocery store is.

Thanks for the welcome guys.. Ill pick up some bakers yeaast and give that a try on my first ferment.. I picked up my boiler yesterday 20qt 18/0 stainless stock pot with aluninum clad base induction burner friendly.. Nice commercial unit.. And for 40 bux. Couldn't be beat... I'm still trying to decide on final design of still .. What would u guys recomend for a worm on a setup of this size I have both 1/2 snd 3/8 ???

For a 20 qt/lt boiler you could get away with a 3/8" worm but if you think you may be going to a larger boiler then I'd opt for the 1/2" if you have it on hand...
