Hi y'all. I inherited a 10 gal pot still that has been past down from my great-grandfather who used it during the depression, and to keep costs low since he lived in a rural area. My uncles had a few stainless copies made of it and I got one. I've done one run, and ready for another. I'm trying to find the right electric burner, but i'm having a hell of a time finding an inexpensive one that can handle my size. This is just for fun, nostalgia, and to hopefully save some $.

Greetings, jakeondalake...
Nothing like some heirloom nostalgia to keep the memories alive... For a 10 gallon boiler you'd probably be better off using an internal electric element rather than a hotplate... Looking forward to seeing pic's of that rig...
Good luck...

Welcome to the forum and I will third the suggestion of showing your pictures, we love seeing pictures especially ones with a history. Also a lot of electric plates have cycling built in which will not keep your temps constant which you need when distilling!
