high ho all

Post by mycostiller »

Hi everybody I just signed up but I have been reading around here for a month or so and was going to wait til I had enough cash to get some copper but I thought I would say hi now... Well anyway I know nothing about the hobby but what I read hear. I do know that I can build anything that I have seen here, its the operation that I'm not to sure about. Anyway I know that I will build a potstill at some point to make some brandy but for right now I want something to make some vary strong stuff taste is not needed but it is a big bonus as I would like to have some high quality vodka I do know that k want to do it yright even if it takes me a few months to get all the parts together. I was thinking about starting with a 2" boka with a keg boiler then a all copper wood fired postill and of I stay with itong enough even a beautiful flute like O.D. but that will be down the road. I think I might just plan a keg party I think most would agree it is a good cause.

Welcome.

Sounds like you have a pretty good long range plan.

Greetings, mycostiller...

Everything sounds good except your comments about charging people... :problem: It's not legal to do that even with commercial beer and spirits... You're just looking for trouble doing it, let alone mentioning it here... My suggestion it to find the Edit button and make that part go away... Or I can do that for you...

Your choice of the Bokakob dual slant plate column and a keg sounds good to me... Do plenty of additional research and ask questions before building...

Good luck and stay safe...

I think he wants to raise funds for copper by charging people at the party for the beer from the keg. Good luck!

Correct.
Charge people entry to the venue and provide free refreshments.
Make this clear.

sounds better, having parties with alcohol is a touchy subject.it comes down to whom furnished it,who served it.determines who is libel. more to it but that is basic.

Welcome from another recent subscriber to the forum. I have been resisting the urge to "just build something" and instead channeling the initial rush of enthusiasm into reading thinking and asking questions. Well, the initial rush is still strong and I think I see some copper in my future...

Good luck on your choices and enjoy the ride!
