Rah Row Rikker Ruvers

Post by astronomical »

Sup my people whom I wish to be accepted by. Right now I'm like Eric Cartman when Kenny left SP Elementary (the poor kid in school). I'm putting forth a lot more effort in this hobby nowadays and I need to spread out and meet the crowd. Hope to see you all around.

I shall rap for you my home fries.

I need a drink, anything'll do fine
from tequila sunrises to mason jars of moonshine
just a plain ole bird lover, mixin' the wash
sip azeotrope in the tropics while I'm flickin' 'em off
refluxin' bout eleven outta twelve that are sweatin
this fellonous essence aint gettin' with a drop of my product
knocking a lotta swill back I know I'll get insane
and the day I make a mill you'll see me go against the grain
sugar my beets with pure cane, I'm sniffin the cut
what starts with ish ends with ish, the middles the love

oooo dancing banana ... crtap.. that homebrewtalk... well :ban: :wtf: Gir?

BTW.. My names Evan... Nice to meet you all.

@NCHooch.. I've been doing washes for about a year and I've done about 20 runs through a Brewhaus still. I've mostly been doing fermentation experiments such as using IV drip lines with inverted sugar dripping into ferments. The results were positive but inconclusive and it was difficult to create a rig with precise control over drip lines (sugar too thick). My conclusion was that it just wasn't cost effective or worth the trouble to use such a system on small fermentations. Now I'm focused on temperature control and water conditions. So, I'm not a complete noob, but, I have a lot to learn.

I'm in the midst of making a 2" bok as we speak. I recently reread The Compleat Distiller and Riku's ARC book (actual copies ;)). I wanted to make a 3" but it'll cost about 5X as much for the column. I completely understand how to design the 3", but, I don't know if teh benefits will be worth it. I've reluctantly decided on building the 2" and then building the 3" (or possibly making a twin tower). Back to the drawing board. I'm thinking an RLM/VM 2".
