Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper

And if someone comes on here and asks they are directed to find one of the many threads about the crook. Like the sticky in the novice section. That is now 35 pages long. And I see you posted there to.
This guy is a crook. Always will be. He sells unsafe junk to people that don't take the time to research what they are getting into. Then once they complain or anything like that. They will never hear from him again. We had a lady on here just a couple weeks ago that ordered and paid for one. Never received it. After 3 years of fighting with it. I think she finally gave up. That's how he works. He preys on unsuspecting people. Lies and presents his products to be much more then they are. To someone not doing the research needed. He sounds like a stillin god. Usually only after someone buys it then they find this place. Most that find this place first would know what a piece of junk it is. Unfortunately many will buy the first thing they see. No way around that.
What made you decide to buy his product? How much research did you put into it before you bought it? Did you look at other stills available to buy?
And its unfortunate that you bought this thing. In my opinion you would have been better off with out having those 4 qts in your hand now. It's not a race. It's about making a quality safe product. No mater how long it takes. And no mater how many posts you make saying there is nothing wrong with it. Him and his junk will always be considered to be worthless around here. And by posting it all over like you are. I'm starting to wonder your intentions? Having been told and read what the thoughts of this crook and still are around here.
I quite honestly can't comprehend how people get sucked in by these cheesy sites that are being used to market shoddy craftsmanship...
Can the stills be any better than the third grade attempts at web site design...???
Are people really as naive as I'm envisioning they must be...???
Are they just swept up in the moment and unaware of the tell-tale signs...???
C'mon people...!!!
This is not a hobby to entered into with the naive perceptions of a giddy schoolgirl...

G'day rad,
I understand and appreciate what you are saying.
However, I think you are being unnecessarily harsh. Each of us has expertise in different areas and would find it easy to criticise others who do not have the knowledge that we might have.
As an example, I could easily say much the same as you have said when I see the PCs that people have bought from their local chain store or online when I know they could get much better for half the price.
I could offer many examples.
None of us are experts on every topic that we become interested in. Forums such as this go a long way to assisting the gaining of knowledge. Making people feel bad about a decision that they may have made and insulting them is more likely to drive them away than to encourage them on the path to "enlightenment", don't you reckon?
My previous post was not a personal attack but, rather, a wake up call for people to pay closer attention rather than thinking that every site on the internet is on the up and up...
I see this type of thing happen almost daily... Just this past Friday I accompanied a customer in shopping for new computer equipment and software after having already made improper decisions based on advice given by a commission hungry salesperson... All of that merchandise will be returned for refund, still in unopened boxes... I offered my services, free of charge, after she awoke in the middle of the night, realizing she had made the wrong decisions and had spent far more money than she should have... And this is a very wealthy woman who merely dropped her guard...
We all need to remain vigilant so as not to make similar mistakes... I haven't found that secret money tree so I still have to work hard for what little money I make and it pisses me off when people get taken advantage of... Screw that whole free enterprise BS and all the other blah, blah, blah... But I digress...
They use synthetic materials that are not safe. They use materials that are not safe. They use glass in a way that is unsafe. They advise you to use it in an unsafe manor. And yrs they are very misleading in their advertising techniques. Not to mention this guy and his affiliates have ripped off many people. Who never got what they paid for. And could never get ahold of him..
Thanks prarie, That makes it a lot clearer, It seems that the internet has opened up a whole new market for thieves, I said in another post to try local srap dealers ,local ones here have been real helpful.
What I don't understand is why do people stick with the first thing they find? They don't take the time to see if there is anything better. They don't take the time to see if it be had for less. You would think with all the wives tails about how unsafe this hobby is. They would research it more. And not go by the porely worded readings of crooks like this. But maybe this is what attracts people to it. I don't know. I ran across his site during my initial research. I never gave his still a second thought. It looks cheesy from the word go. Why would I pay someone to build something that crappy. Is what I thought. It's not manufactured its just stuff put together. With no regard for professionalism. I was really drawn to the mile high stills because of how professional they looked. If I would have had the money I would have bought one in a heartbeat. But I think different then most I guess? I have the ability to build things. And I'm a perfectionist when I do build. So maybe that's why I feel the way I do. Hell I can't stand how my still turned out. I think it looks like crap. But I'm not selling it its safe and I made it.
I apologize if I offended anyone that unfortunately got suckered by this crook. But that's how I feel.
Oh the other thing. After they get suckered and find HD. They get defensive when you tell them its unsafe. And want to argue with everyone. Really? Just suck it up as a mistake. And get to work learning how to correct the unsafe thing. Then fix it.

Strongly disagree.
nobody who isn't running a scam markets the way those guys do.
Outfits like these characters don't make their money because there's a never ending supply of people who've never been ripped off before, they make their money because people who fall for rip offs do it again and again and again.
No different from the outfits that sell secrets of success on cd programs or miracle weight loss pills or how to get any woman to sleep with you seminars. People shell out the six easy payments of $59.95 and get nothing... and get suckered into the next scam having learned nothing from the experience.
The stilldrinking folks just have the added advantage of charging for a product that they dont actually have to bother to ship because people are afraid to go to law over a still.
There was an old porn scam like this before the internet where some outfit would put a small ad in the back of a magazine that offered to send you hundreds of pictures or movies of one vile perversion or another, send check or money order. then they'd either send you nothing you couldn't get off the rack at the dimestore or nothing at all and when you complained they'd give you a refund check written on the account of the international association of livestock humpers or the men who like to dress as little girls club... and nobody would ever try to deposit the checks.
"a woman who drives you to drink is hard to find, most of them will make you drive yourself."
