Tough Saturday
Well first phone call I get today, one of my friends died yesterday, ( 47 yrs old) pancreatic cancer finally won, he has been fighting for 8 months now,I am however relieved he no longer suffers.
Then my mom calls step father went to emergency, torn meniscus in his knee, and they found he is full of blood clots from his knee to his toes, so I am on call from my mom if he has to go back in damn not a good weekend so far.

Days like this remind me of how damn good a "normal" day can be. Everybody grab someone who needs to know they're loved and tell them...really tell them.

Re: Tough Saturday
Update, well friends funeral is tomorrow morning,I as like most people dont like them but are part of life, my first one was my father at age 14. None since have been that tough.
Step father is still the same they keep uping his blood thinner, nothing happening so far has me worried considering he has blood pressure proplems already, they wont but him in the hospital (which I belive is bullshit) concidering they live 20 miles from nearest town.

Re: Tough Saturday
I know how it goes... Yesterday I received word that another of my old drinking buddies passed away at 46 years of age, exactly one year to the day after his father passed away... It made me think back to a time when a bar owner friend of mine had build a small VIP lounge in the back of his bar for a choice group of us dedicated customers... I got goose bumps when I realized that I am the only remaining VIP that enjoyed watching sports events in that lounge... And what makes it even worse is that I was the oldest member of the VIP group... I'm the last man standing...
