Share your toys!
I know some of you have boats, bikes, classic cars, etc. I wanna see em. What are your other passions? Got a kick ass train set? PC you built yourself? Carve your own bows? Love guns n ammo? Hot girlfriend? You get the picture...
Here's a couple of mine:
My 1972 Buick Riviera Boattail:
My 2008 HD Crossbones (FLSTSB):
Got a great 027 WWII era Lionel set in the rafters...boys don't like it so I haven't put it up....'sides...my still's in the way.
Got some guns too but not sure if that's cool here so I'll hold off.

On my ipad I coulda swore you were riding one of those garden trains...I just looked closer and it looks like you're on a bike going around a corner(?). Looks like a big one too!rtalbigr wrote:You can see mine in my avitar.

Oxbo--I don't know jack about boats. Is that so you can get in and out of particular spots? You go after a lot of fish in the shallows or what?

Pic was taken on the Dragon @ Deals Gap (US 129 @ TN/NC border), 318 curves in 11 miles (it's only 45 minutes from the house). It's a great road to ride if ya don't act stupid. Two riders have been killed up there already this year. Like I said, if ya don't act stupid.

Re: Share your toys!
Nice! Big R- I have heard of the infamous Dragon. Isn't there a tree nearby with bike parts hanging from it. Seen a lot
Of vids and stills of people (the dumb ones) concrete surfing some of those corners. Just got a tip on a road in the eastern part of my state (Dooley Rd) that has 180 curves on it! My first bike was a 1981 CB750k...love Hondas!
RC~ nice looking dirt setups. Haven't really ridden any...need a longer inseam lol! Love the old pit bike!!

Yeah, in that boat right there, I can run in 5 in of water, (mfgr) I know it'll do 8 in.......Frosteecat wrote:rtalbigr wrote:You can see mine in my avitar.

Problem is, stopping ! ! ! But it''s so light that, no problem getting out and turning it around to get out of sticky situation .........
Yeah, where I live, lots of "flats" = long stretches of shallow water
Where I live you cruise till you see the fish (redfish) pushing wakes, then cast ahead of them, pulling bait to their nose = FISH ON ! ! ! !

Years ago a friend had a 69 Camaro 327 4 barrel, 4 speed.
His father told him that if you ever heard the tires
squeal in a corner you were in danger of rolling it.
I took him over Dooley Mt. to prove that Dad was wrong. . .
10 years ago I went over Dooley and had to ask myself
why I was still alive. We had run Dooley at over 80 MPH average.
Four wheel floating almost every corner, had scars up nearly to the
rims on all 4 tires. Brakes were smoking and shot when we got back to
La Grande.
Drive safe

Re: Share your toys!
Oh, I'm a very conservative rider/driver. I'm just looking for some beautiful scenery with some good asphalt through it! If you have any better ideas, let me know. I'll be hitting Ontario the 27th. Haven't figured out which way I'm going to go from Portland. Maybe through central or out 26.... ideas?
I will probably leave the bike there and drive with the family from Ontario to Divide. Then pick it up on the way back and head down south to the Painted Hills, etc....never seen SE Oregon.

Re: Share your toys!
Did that with my Dad's '65 Impala (327/4 brl/2 spd automatic) thru Rocky Mtn Nat Park in Colorado back in '71. I was home on leave from the Army, fresh from Airborne school, full of piss and vinegar. H***, I thought death defying was just havin fun. Nothin like a good adrenalin rush!! He Was Pissed! Had to get new brakes and tires all around. Good thing I had to go back to the Army the next day. Wish I had that car now. Wasn't worth a S*** off the line, but man that car could fly.Coyote wrote:Years ago a friend had a 69 Camaro 327 4 barrel, 4 speed.

I have a couple of moto-toys. One is an '84 Alfa Romeo GTV-6.
The other is an '03 BMW (with 89,000 miles on it). Just got back from a 4,000 mile ride through South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado.
