Xylitol
Has anyone heard of Xylitol or if it is fermentable? I found it at a bulk food store and it can be replaced 1 to 1 with sugar. I read an article about it and it said there were health benefits and its the only sugar that bacteria cant grow on. Its kinda expensive so I wanted to know if anybody has used it

Re: Xylitol
Just out of curiosity, why consider using it versus tried and true simple sugar that's much less $$?

I was just looking for something new to try and where it isn't affected by bacteria I thought it might make a better spirit. Not saying that simple sugar don't make good stuff its the best sugar wash I have tried

Cool, so if you get lost in the woods you can eat your shorts if you get hungry.rockchucker22 wrote:Now they are putting xylitol in fabric to add cooling effect.
