Can you post pictures...??? A finished, cleared, and racked wash shouldn't present the problem you have described...

Is it possible you had a boil over? That could make your distillate very cloudy. You might try doing a vinegar run and or a water run to clean out your worm.

How exactly did you prepare the still before its first ever use? Is this the stills first use?

Muddy water? Puke on a sugar wash would just be cloudy, not brown. Is your rig stainless? Did you happen to clean it with bleach at any point? Or did it sit for a long while before this run?

edit: reread and saw it was a keg. Bleach? Sitting?
No, officer, I wasn't distilling alcohol! It was probably that guy!

Salt water is bad for stainless. Could be the problem. Might have corroded the keg. Have you looked inside it with a light?

Apple mustve puked on ya. Just rerun it. My brother in law used to "help" out a lot. Shoved a wad of cheesecloth in the product condenser, which pressurized the still. Thank god I noticed before we blew up! Then, a week later, adds my feints jar to 3 month aged UJSSM to "make it stronger". He doesn't come over much anymore ....

I would do a cleaning run before running something you may want to keep, especially if it was still coming out dirty toward the end of your last run. I would not use any salt or soap. I'm sure you are familiar with cleaning methods we recommend. I would stick with those methods.
