Should team up. And help with the legalization of our hobby. It would be good to have someone from both sides working together on it.

We have gotten way off track and there is no need on the forum for offensive language. To set peoples minds at ease I checked the IP address on both lawyers and they are different. Please tone it down consider this a warning! Rule #2 on the rules we live by has been broken and in case you need a reminder:

2. Be polite and courteous. Remember that nobody is perfect and nobody knows everything. We've all got our strengths and limitations which is why we share information with each other in the first place. Remember that we're all different and nothing is going to change that fact.

Thanks in advance:

That may be their professions, but at the end of the day, they are individuals and should be considered as such. The actions of prosecutors and lawyers you have dealt with is no indication on what these people are like. Just like there are professional, good, police officers, and there are pigs, and assuming they are the worst is discriminatory and uncalled for

I would really like to see a few more lawyers around the hobby. We need members that can read and understand the laws we face. To help move the hobby forward. Even gooberment officials would be nice. We aren't gona get much further with out their help.

So I hope he stays around for a while. If its a hobby he thinks would be a good one. It would be a good incentive to help get it legal.

Most lawyers are decent individuals who sincerely want to help people. In small towns, it is the lawyer who advises people about their rights, does their taxes, does their bookkeeping, prepares their wills, and even gives them financial advice. Like most lines of work, there are charlatans and crooks -- these are the ones who give the law profession a black eye. Are all cops or auto mechanics honest: No, but that doesn't mean all cops and mechanics are crooked or that they are not needed.

One big problem that I see is that the crooked lawyers have too much power and so wreck havoc on people. This could be changed by governmental reform, but unfortunately the legislatures are mostly made up by lawyers and thus have a vested interest in blocking reform.

Im friends with 2 lawyers. One is a hardcore brewer, the most hardcore I know, perfected homebrew lagers. Which is damn hard to do. He shared some inputs on verbage for that legal thing we were doing a while back (what happend with that?) The other shares another hobby of mine. Both are topnotch folk that Id trust with my wife. Not all lawyers are ambulance chaser pondscum.
In theory there's no difference between theory and practice. But in practice there is.

Wow what a way to welcome someone we don't know anything about! Jimbo as most of my neighbors are lawyers, doctors and politicians I have to agree with you that they are just folks like the rest of us. It takes really small minds to treat someone this way just because of his chosen profession. Mipuz, welcome to the forum and thanks for any input you give us. Everyone has something to offer no matter what his chosen profession. I for one apologize for the child like behavior that you have been extended. If more lawyers and politicians especially would take interest in our hobby we may actually get to be heard someday and have the astigmatisms that are placed upon us as hobby distillers removed. For someone regardless of profession to be treated as you have been from a group that is as seriously stereotyped as we are to treat someone this way is unspeakable. Anyway welcome and I for one hope that you can somehow see it in your heart to continue to contribute! Thanks!
