SC felt other forums were better suited for himself so don't expect to see him again here, I find it a shame too but I'm sure he had his reasons

He was in the process of opening a craft distillery so he might be a bit busy these days.

Good for him. I'm glad to see one more HD member getting closer to living the dream. At least that's how I hope it turns out for him.

I am one of those members who had life take a left turn on them and stopped coming to the forum. I do miss the good people here and the independent thinkers I met. It was a great learning experience which is what I enjoyed the most. Hope things are going well for all.

Not been here for a while, where is Wacabi? (Holy Bear), and where is ' Just a sip' ? Last I heard, just a sip was going to bad places, fightin bad people n doing good things!!!!
I last spoke to Wacabi in 2013,
Wacabi means ( great holy bear with a crescent mark on its chest) in osage language.
Hope they are ok.

Nobody knows, he just dropped out of site. I don't believe any member knew him thus it is hard to get details.

Yes, he just disappeared... Hopefully just coincidental but that was during the same timeframe when several serious distillation related incidents took place in the UK where Samohon is from... I sincerely hope he was not swept up in any of that... Beyond that, he was also dealing with a recent divorce and was trying to find himself again... Hoping that all is well and that we will someday hear back from him...

Holy bear was one guy I really enjoyed interacting with. He bought an item years back from brewhaus and in mid 13 got a letter from the TTB and was packing everything up til things blew over. He stuck around posting every now and then for another 12 months and then was never seen again

Another great member, wow! The one that stopped posting after disagreements over the Nuclear thread was Junkyard dawg. His threads on cutting and using the agave plant was a great thread.

On Samohon, i really appreciated some of the awesome Graphics he did for our benefit!

and around a year ago i started digging around and found his Handle on some other forums involving beer brewing and also some graphics stuff, that was pretty current at the time... seems he dropped out of here around the time ukraine heated up... but his posts were long after that event, so guessing his interest just drifted off like so many.

Curious about Bearriver... i saw him in July at his dads place for the gathering they had... although my time was tight there i enjoyed a hour and a half, eating, meeting everyone there and tasting some fine spirits.

Happy new year to all.. be safe and take good care.

Found an ad on Craigslist for something last night and it sounded like it might be him (due to item and location). He finally got all his stuff back that he was planning on using to go legal.

I reached out to both Samohon and Holy Bear personally, but no respons. Sometimes it is the way it is. There is a time when one is infected with the distilling bug and maybe the forum ... and often it dies out. Kiwistiller is someone I'd love to see around again for a bit ... Prairypiss was around a bit a few months ago again.

Regards, Odin.

Fester and I used to rip it up, sides splitting, he was hilarious. Then he moved to China, started still dragon and got his own forum. Good times, 08-09. At least I know where he is and that he's doing great.

I normally take off in spring until fall because of drag racing and other times I get a call and am gone doing "bidness" in bad places.

But I always come back

Lot of names you don't even realize are gone until you see their name mentioned.
