hey all! just joined up.been reading alota good info here.great site.i have made a reflux column thats made of 3in ss tubing 57in tall filled appx. 55in up with 6mm raschig rings.it mounted to a 16 gal ss sanke.the condensor is a industrial sample condensor used in process plant.ive ran it twice and now im fine tuning it with info you guys have thrown out here.hope to start posting questions soon!!ive been making beer for awhile but decided to 'expand' the whole thing .so neway thats a bit about me and thanx again for this site!!

yep to all 4 plus i do electrical/instrumentation.bak in the 70s my dad got into this for on the farm fuel thing .made the still (30gal per hour but never ran it)he sold it cuz he got to way in depth with methane digesters and wut not and back then the technology wasnt there so he just sold it.lookin bak ..if only he knew! he made a vertical auger for an agitater in a 900 gallon fermenter and my grandfather drilled all the holes in the stripper plates by hand! so ya ive been around the theory for awhile.
