What still to buy
I am looking to buy a still that produces top quality spirit. Only the more I look the more confused I get. I was thinking of the Still Spirits Turbo 500? Anyone have any thoughts or recomendations?

Don't buy one , build one, it will be better and cheaper. There are designs on the Parent site, and build help on this forum.

Re: What still to buy
For neutral spirits your best bet is the Bokakob dual slant plate Liquid Management reflux column design... It is inexpensive and relatively uncomplicated to build, easy to learn how to operate, and is well supported here in the forums... You can always move up from this design but it is great as a starter unit... You can build it in its simplest form or make it as complicated as you like...
Don't build the Nixon Stone offset head valved reflux column or the "Building A Home Distillation Apparatus" design(s)... They are very expensive to build and/or do not perform in relation to their expense and complexity...
We recommend either a simple pot still, using a stainless steel boiler pot and coiled copper worm in a bucket, or a Bokakob column because they have been proven to work for first time builders...
