Beginner Home Distiller

Post by marc83 »

Marc here, from New Zealand,Bit of a beginner to distilling.Enjoying the hobby so far.
I am currently running an Essencia express still.Have done 3 batches so far, best yield is 3.8L @ 89%.Using Still Spirits Classic yeast and 7kg Dextrose.
I have tried a variety of essences/flavours so far,and just recently started using bourbon chunks, will see how it goes.
Hoping to discuss with other like-minded people about there set-ups and recipes as such. And also any tips and tricks would be a bonus.
I have referred to this site many times over the last couple of months and have now decided to register and share etc.
cheers.
