Hot water heating element in reflux still?

Post by freespirited »

I bought a regular Home Depot $10- 4500 240 watt element to install in my sanke keg to boil my wash (and yes I have the 1" nsp nut to weld in). Is this safe and are there any precautions I should follow? Also can anyone give me a drawing or write up on a controller for this? Thanks.
