Hi everyone,
Would firstly like to say how helpful this site has been for me. After many years wanting my own still and many conversations with the blokes at the brew shop I found this site, and thank god for that cause I nearly went down the path of a commercial still and turbos ect. After much research I decided to bulid my own still as I like to make things. I decided to go with a modified boka design(cause the misses likes vodka and I can drink it if I have to), she has a 100mm coloum and 1200mm of packing(will post some pics soon). All this sits on top of a 50L keg boiler with 2 x 2400watt elements. After a couple of turbos I am currently fermenting 2 x 25L of wineos sugar washes in hope of a cleaner spirit. I am really keen to move into mashing and making some good whiskey for myself.
Anyway a big thanks to the site and all the members of this forum.
