Hi everyone,
A very new newbie here, I have been looking around the site and finding alot of useful information.. I attempted brewing beer about 10 years ago, however I did not have much success, although I did manage to make a few ok batches of Ginger beer, I am not much of a beer drinker at the best of times, more of a spirits and Liqueur girl.
I have been reading through the information about stills, however I am still finding it hard to make a choice. I know I am not tallented enough to make one, which only leaves me me with the option to purchase one from the many available web sites. I am looking at buying a complete starter kit.
I was wondering if anyone could maybe give me some advise on which of these kits would be more suitable, I have narrowed it down to 3, the Complete 25l Essencia System with Essencia Filter System, the Complete 25l Still Spirits Super Reflux Distilling System or the Still Spirits Turbo 500 Distillation System.

Any advice on which system would be the better one the choose would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

Re: Hi from Australia
Welcome to the Forum.
Before you buy check with OldDog and Austin Nichols, both Aussies, They make
great stills and won't be an arm and a leg. Couple of other Aussies build also but,
for the life of me can't think of their handles. Also, go the the classifids for other
makers.
Glad to see another girl on the Forum.

Welcome, Shaggz...
You can do better for a whole lot less... Those prices are insane, to say the least... Take the advice ArkyJ gave you if you can't build your own... Take full advantage of the skilled craftsmen who have been partaking in the hobby and know what it takes to make quality spirits... You are after quality, not quantity, right...???
Good luck...

Re: Hi from Australia
Thanks for the replies,
I nearly fell over when I first saw the prices too, however after looking around a few other sites, that seems to be about the going price for those sorts of kits here in Aus. Thanks for the Ideas, I will look around a bit more tonight when I get home from work, maybe send a few PM's to see if anyone may be able to make me a still, I doubt I could find someone local, living an a pretty samll town, not sure what postage/courier costs would be.
I am definately looking at quality over quantity, I would definalty prefer to relax with a lovely tasting drop than have gallons sitting on the shelf and I am still frequently visiting the local bottle shop.
Thanks again
