Enamelware Boiler

Putting older posts here. Going to try to keep the novice forum pruned about 90 days work. The 'good' old stuff is going to be put into appropriate forums.

Enamelware Boiler

Post by TK Spirits »

Is it safe to use an EnamelWare 20qt pot as a boiler? I don't want to step on any toes or ask a question that's been answered   But if you could point me in the direction of knowledge and insight, it'll be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again :)

Id yes but to many limitations, one bump and you can discard, the lining also heat cracks.
so not really worth bother with.it just wont last as long as it will take to make it over.

The abuse that hot wash and alcohol vapor would impart upon the enamelware would make it impractical for use as a boiler... Surely there must be a better option available to you...

Thanks fellas, I found a nice 25qt SS pot with a lid that I can clamp with bulldog clips, for a bit more, but from what you tell me, is definitely worth it in the long run :) Thanks again guys
