once I heard about it I had to try it, never ever again.

I remember some Raki in Turky (Turkey?);

Gave me a head ache so bad;

Even tbe memory makes me feel sad.

Yeah, I even rime in English nowadays;

Probably due to Santaclaus (Sinterklaas) coming to town;

And eating lots of chocolate, nice and brown.

Will likely vary a lot between people I despise jaeger. Also Ouzo is some pretty gawd awful stuff (to me). However, both of these drinks are loved by others. I am sure that scotches and whiskeys are hated by many, but I love them. In fact, one of my hunting/drinking buddies will hurl if you give him a good wiff or shot of whiskey.

My wifes Norwegian cousin brought some Raki home when we were with them in Turkey, I agree it is not a great drink but one of national importance in Turkey. Also some of the Greek drinks I've had make me think of medicine!

Stroh-80 -no question.
called an "inlander rum" made with whatever is available in Austria, and flavored with spices so bad- you can taste how synthetic they are.

@Blind Drunk,

I love Retsina! Well, you do need to cool it. And drink nothing else in between, other wise ... okay!!! Only when in Greece, BTW. Whenever I try it in Holland, visiting a Greek restaurant, somehow, it's not the same experience.

@Johnny,

Drank my first allmost 35 years ago. Together with another kid I was sitting in a "sessel lift" (chair lift) on wintersports in Austria. It was snowing. It was minus 20 degrees C. The lifts stopped working because of too heavy winds. We were just hanging there and freezing.

The kid (maybe a few years older than me), took out a small bottle and told me to take a sip. I did. Flames & strikes of lightning came out of my ears & *ss. My first time with 80% Stroh Rum. It is a flash treatment and very dangerous at that, but the cold disappeared imediately.

I always drink a few 80% Stroh's when on wintersports in Austria. Not because I like it, but ... well, because I should.

All that stuff about tubo yeast from an air still served with a charcoal garnish in a milk jug sounds better better than a shot I did a few nights ago for my 30th.... It's was Sambucca and Rumplemints. :shock: :? :sick: :sick: :idea: .. it was the first time a shot ever made me barf... I hardly made to the bathroom in time..... I don't think I can go back there after that... I feel sorry for the poor guy who has to wash those damn rocks in the sink! .... And I'm a Seasoned drinker too!

Needless to say I'm not inviting that person to my graduation party after that

I used to drink those two separately or together every night, or Black Haus and Rumple Minze... As well as chasing shots of Chartreuse with shots of Rumple Minze... Cast iron stomach here... Thinking back, it's no wonder I'm diabetic considering all of the sugary shots I drank... :roll:

I used to be the same way too.... but then I started drinking alcohol that doesn't need a candy cane dissolved in it to get poeple to drink it! It tasted like how I Imagine drinking a shotglass of Fore-shots would taste! :crazy: :sick:

Styrofoam...vodka essence... :D :D :D :thumbup:

Rhetorical answer to the rhetorical question...they claim air still + turbo are so fast you can be sippin a headache the day after you buy em. Then the accessories kick in...and you experience robbery by a commercially available drink.
