gday peps new to the whole forum thing as well as using a reflux still with a 30ltr boiler hope to learn a bit about diffrent techniques and grasp a more insightful understanding of the whole process and styles of brewing devine spirits can wait to indulge myself in all your wonderfull expertise that you may all have to offer a big thanx to all those who have created this forum already i have been discovering more than i hoped to from all the previous posts

is a ultra pure reflux still made from copper with a 30ltr boiler so far ive only used it once to make a a simple water sugar and yeast wash first time i had a few complications as i dint know enuff about the temps to run it at before flowing the water and had left it a lil late but im looking forward to my 2nd try with the stuff ive been reading should help me out a lot more im a little unsure on the time it takes to run a full 25ltr wash thro it and im not sure if i rly need to add xtra nutriants and other things to my wash i rly want to make scoth and rum the most but ill be happy starting off with vodka for the time being ive only used a crappy air still for a few yrs carnt wait to get this down pat
nice tryed one of the birdwatchers recipes the one with tomato paste and lemon juice one of my washes is still bubbling lol its three weeks lol the first one finished i ran it through lastnight the alcohol volume cam out at 94%
time to filter it think ill use a carbon filter and some coffee filters then chuck it on some rum barrel scrapings and add some flavors thanx for the info guys
oh and i was also wondering what methods you can use to flavor the spirit instead of buying flavors from what ive read no one has posted any info on that for those who use a reflux still any advice on this would be a great help
What flavors are you interested in? Do a forum search for whatever you want to make something like, and you'll probably get some hits on how to make it.
