Natural Selection

Post by heartcut »

I was showering in the morning. A gecko would walk out on the outside of shower window and eat the bugs attracted by the light. Little guy was king of the hill, would run off the other geckos. While I was rinsing off and watching the show, an owl snatched the gecko while crashing into the window. They land harder while hunting than I would have expected. A lot harder. Fortunately, I had already moved my bowels. Moved the shower curtain off the pole, though.

I did! (and took out the curtain)- before I realized it was just a bird my brain had already taken the flight option.

Like Tater, I saw something similar when I was a kid. I little bug fluttering around in the summer got nabbed by a dragon fly. Within a few seconds a swallow swooped by and nabbed the dragon fly. So cool.

That is why I like to fly fish in the evening, fish come completely out of the water for the bigger bugs, sometimes two to three times their length. Heartcut sounds like ya might need chicken wire on your windows, before ya have to explain the claw marks on your face!
It is what you make it

Tater, you should concentrate your fishing efforts here because plenty of trolls pass through... Bait your hook and have at it...

I think about chicken wire and/or shotgun ports as I contemplate replacing the cracked window. Maybe eat some chicken and just imagine it's that bas###d.
Pretty sure Geico wouldn't be interested in the idea.
