women who distill?

Post by Sloanick »

Are there any women on this site? I haven't read anything that sounded like it was, and i have this stereotype in my mind that women don't distill. just wondering if there are any to prove me wrong. I think it would be great if one of the mentors was a woman and no one even knew it!

We had several very active women on the site for a while but haven't heard from them in some time.

And I'm sure we have plenty of casual female readers who haven't registered so they can participate, just as there are males who do the same... I, personally, consider this to be a gender neutral hobby...

Of the handful of folks I personally know that distill 2 of them are women and are on this forum. They tend to distill more then post, and they know a hell of a lot about distilling.

There was one last week who posted something like "me and my husband" so I assume it's a woman. And Tigerlily and the one who was opening a distillery in No Cal. & I believe "pole perfection" is a woman. They are around but I believe they are less about advertising they are female and more about learning to distill. My old lady numbers the collecting jars for me, does that count?

Pic please ......
It is not the matter, nor, the space between the matter,
but rather, it is that finite point at which the two meet,
that, and only that, is what is significant...........
(Of course, I could be wrong) ..........

Pretty sure there are a few girl type stillers here.

The real kind, I mean, not the fraudulent transvestite kind. :P
