It's a simple pot still. Much like the one that Samohon made plans for. And there are a bunch that build and use them around here. Not real sure as to what you want to know more then that.

They are decent guys i guess. Just dont use any of the faster shipping options with them. It takes them a few days to get the order to UPS. So just save your money and use regular ground shipping with them. Example: dont pick 2nd day air because its going to take them 2 days to even get it out their door.

Im talking about smaller nic-nac orders obviously. If you buy a still i would imagine they would have to build it

I have their 26 gallon milk can 3" still head, 5500 watt internal element and controller. The customer support was outstanding, I forgot to order something I forget what it was. They sent me an email to say they were shipping it for free. The quality is very good, I have no leaks and it runs the way I expected it should... Like a pot still. IMO, the milk can boiler is a fantastic option for a boiler and clean up is a breeze with te 9" opening.

I haven't had any trouble with anything I bought from hbs.
I'm goin the distance...

I'm relatively new here but have read much on this site. I placed an order with Hillbilly Stills in December 2012 of over $500.00 and have not received my order to date. My credit card was of course charge on the day I placed the order. I've followed up with a few emails which they have responded to saying that there was a back order and the order will be shipped in two weeks, then two more weeks, then two...... Needless to say that I'm disappointed in their service. I suppose my next step is to cancel the order, dispute the charge on my credit card and file a complaint with the BBB. Buyer beware!

I have placed 5-6 orders with them and never been disappointed, except for the wait on the still. but they tell you up front that there is a long wait on their flutes and they do run low on boilers every now and then. (They import boilers from china).
Over all a very nice product worth the wait

We aren't going there... Due to issues with this particular vendor we don't do recommendations...

Good advice Rad. I got so tired of waiting for my pot still from HB Stills, I decided to build my own reflux still based on all of the ideas I gained on this site from you and many others. Much appreciated! While we are on the subject of vendors, I can highly recommend PEX Supply for copper fittings and Brewers Hardware for stainless fittings. I just ordered a few things from Mile Hi Distilling so I'll let everyone know how that turns out.

Update: I got notification that my order was shipped today, 2-14-13. They must read this forum!
