Sorry to my friends from south of the border, but it is well known that the US has always been very open when it comes to personal aspects of people's lives. Don't get me wrong, you can find out about most anybody in most countries if you know the route to take. The US has just been making access very easy to the general public, especially online.

Thankfully, we have the information and privacy act here that makes gaining access to a lot of information difficult and even impossible in many cases for the general public.
