Where your from

Post by googe »

Thought a thread about where you live might be good, its different for me as were legal here but you dont have to say your address haha. Just a general area. Im north of wellington nz, about 45 mins from the coast, lots of hills, good fishing at the coast, untouched apart from small fishing villages.

Lived in Wellington for 3 years, still got permanent residency in NZ (I'm from the UK). Keep thinking about returning and your photographs aren't helping :) Great memories of the place.

I live at a Lake and below is a photo from my deck, the second picture is a map of the area I spend most of my time cruising. I have a lake boat and my grown children and grandchildren spend time during the summer skiing and swimming. My first love is our larger boat that we moor and spend time cruising, fishing, crabbing, and shrimping in the San Juan Islands of Washington and the Gulf Islands of Canada.

I've got a little 3 acre mountainside farm in East Tennessee, just 30 min. north of Asheville, NC.
And I do mean mountainside as the only level part is a 20' x 60' back yard.

Don't even live close to California. But this desiccated state has been pumping coal generated electrical power into that state for the last 50 years or more. Now though, that we've retired our own generating plants, this state feels like California.

Because we've had rolling “brown outs” for the last 3 or 4 days. Today so far, we've had about 8 short-lasting brown outs, and it's beginning to piss me off. The office printer/fax machine wakes up and has a hissy-fit every time it happens too.

I live in central South Africa. We have daily blackouts to protect the grid from collapsing. We are on a area rotation so that the blackouts are not on the same time a day. At this time we are without power in a specific area 2.5 h in the morning and 2.5h in the afternoon/evening.

We call it loadshedding. It started in 2007 and there is just no will to fix it.

Ja, solar is the answer. My problem is I want to relocate to southern cape in 3-4 years. I rather invest there than at my current location.

As my name sort of lets on, I live in the shadow of the Olympic Mts. on 6 acres of steep as ground and no neighbors that I can see. I love the quiet and the privacy to run my still in my front yard without worry and I put up with the steep to get my view of the Olympics out the front and Mt. Rainier out the other side.

Beautiful view. I'd live on steep grade to have that view as well. That's very impressive to say the least. Thanks for sharing man.

After having lived and worked in Colorado for more than 2O years, you realize that flat ground has its merits too. Drop so much as a screwdriver on a steep grade, and you'd better jump to grab it before it rolls completely out of sight.

When searching for a phd thesis acknowledgement with expertise in qualitative research methods, there are a few avenues you can explore. Firstly, consider reaching out to your academic institution or department. They may have resources or recommendations for research support services tailored to your specific field of study. Additionally, you can explore online platforms and forums dedicated to academic writing and research. These communities often have members who can recommend reliable research proposal helpers with expertise in qualitative research.
Another approach is to directly contact research consulting firms or professional researchers who specialize in qualitative research. They may offer services to assist you in designing and refining your research plan.

It's not a question of where I'm from. It's more about where I'm at. I'm Canadian. Huge country. Raised on a farm on the east coast, moved out west (3100km) from home to work in the oilfield, for the winter. 42 years later I'm still here. Lived in a small town at the end of a magnificent lake for 38 years. Bought a 74 year old farm house, on 2 acres, on the lake, 18km out of town 4 years ago. Should have done it 30 years ago.
Not the 150 acre farm I grew up on, but not on a town lot where, when I look out my kitchen window I'm not looking down my neighbour's hall way.

Shit... I tried to attach a pic but "file too large" couldn't get an option to change reduce pic size.

If you are on a Computer , you can resize with Microsoft Paint . Typically use 800 pixels on the longest side will cover most pics .

On an iphone , you can get a free APP called “resize it “
It will also rotate pics like MS Paint can on a PC .
