Georgia Moon - a professional product

I was a the local "Package" stor looking over their selection of rum to compare mine to, Actually looking fro some Mt.Gay, I heard it was good. Anyways, I say they had some Georgis Moon corn whiskey sold by Johnson Distillery. I hope that distillery makes something else because it was awful. Everyone who has compared mine and this Georgia moon says mine is better. The may be just being nice, but I always let them try the GM first. They twist and trun and gag and then sawy wow thats strong. they sip mine and their eyes light up and say wow thats smooth! Have you guys had any experinces like this? Or have tried this product?

Happened to me with some modified UJSSM a couple weeks back. They were quite surprised. It's about 1 year on charred sticks. It was a good feeling, but I know it can get better. Cheers, bd.

I used to really enjoy Mt. Gay. Have not had any in a couple years now.

I have also tried Georgia Moon, I have to say that I would put that in my tails jar and re-run it. It had a wet sock smell and an after taste that would make a dog lick his own ass to get the taste out of his mouth. Mud

Oddly, since reading that when it was posted,,I have since thought about that saying 2-3 times now. Like a song I can't get out of my head.

It's the usual. A subpar product marketed as something edgy. Wow, is this REAL MOONSHINE??? OMG Britney, we HAVE to try sum.

I have to give them props on one level. When I still had a five gallon boiler and was cooking up shine just because I couldn't afford to go to the store, that's about the quality I came up with. Stanky ass booze filtered through a dirty cotton sock, and aged on milk-bonz.

Tails cut? What's a tails cut? Run it til it pukes, and sell it.

I was just presented with a jar of Georgia Moon over the weekend rather than my normal bottle of scotch... I am not impressed in the least and almost find it to be an insult to good distilled spirits... My first smell and taste caused me to say "straight tails"... Heck, even my tails taste better than Georgia Moon... In fact I'd rather drink right out of my feints jar diluted to the same proof... I'm not bragging but I've never bottled anything that bad...

I had been wanting to buy a jar to try. I had seen some mixed reviews on it. So I figured I mite just try it. But after that I don't think I will. Unless someone else buys it.

I had a jar of it a few years ago. Wasnt too bad..... Went on a fishin trip with the guys this last winter and one of them brought a bottle of it. Was the tailsyest jar of you know what. I swear they took the gym sock out right before they sold it. Funny part was, none of the others knew what i was talking about. None of them whisky drinkers anyway.

So I think they had a little variation in there batches. Maybe ol leroy was asleep at the still and ran out the tails into the product collection
